This is the second and last RLV from Scottish borders. We start in the south of Edinburgh, immediately after crossing the border from Midlothians, and ride south. In Redscarhead we take a deviation from the main road to Peebles and reach the river Tweed in Hallyne. We follow the river towards the headwaters until Tweedsmuir, and then turn left bordering the Talla Reservoir. In talla linfoots we face a short but steep (20% gradient) climb to the Megget Reservoir, followed by a smooth descent to St. Mary's Loch.Shortly after we start a large circular loop through an isolated piece of countryside, with hills, forests and moors. At the end of the loop we follow shortly the same route of UK_Scottish_borders1 until Traquair, and keep going. We cross the Tweed again in Innerleithen and after a couple more climbs we are back in Midlothians, until the village of Bonnyrig, in the suburbs of Edinburgh. For the first 50km many clouds cover the sun, causing dark colour tones. After the Talla reservoir the clouds disappear and the remaining 130km are nicely sunny and bright. In this video I tested filming 2K60fps instead of 4K30fps, so the large resolution is only 2560x1024, but small resolution files are twice heavier.
